A die-cast brass meridian ring is pinned to make the globe sit at the 23.5 degrees of the Earth's tilt and to allow the globe to spin in any direction. This special design allows for unobstructed views of the southern hemisphere. The cherry finish of the wood ring and riser is a lovely pairing with the bronze globe tones.
